Moving from city to city

You walk from Plattelandswinkel't Schuurtje in the direction of the Harskampse Zand. This area is used as a military training ground by the army forces stationed in the vicinity of Ede. On the edge of this shifting sand area is the mill Lana Mariana, which was built in 1739. Although it is no longer recognizable as such, it was originally a belt mill. The round stone mill was used for grinding grain. During the Second World War, the structure was heavily damaged and until 1984 the mill remained a ruin, without a hood and without blades. Since a restoration in 2002, the exterior view has been restored, but nothing remains of the interior.
