The beautiful nature near Nijkerk and Putten

From Nijkerk you can take a tour through nature. First you drive through the Gelderse Vallei. You cycle along leafy roads past meadows, and you also pass through the chain of forest and heathland in the Kruishaarse Heide. Then you drive through Putten, where you pass Molen't Hert, a corn mill from 1899. The Sprielder and Speulderbos are two of the oldest and most beautiful forests in the Netherlands. Here you will find trees with winding trunks, when it is foggy they seem to dance. You will also pass Drie, a centuries-old hamlet. Further along is the Groot Spriel estate. You drive into the Gelderse Vallei again, this time you pass through the forests of the Appelse Heide and the picturesque hamlet of Appel.
