Your route starts at Vriezenhuis Estate. You will soon discover the Meenkmolen, a flour mill near Miste. The octagonal mill stands on an elevation, which is characteristic of belt mills. Lichtenvoorde has an interesting history: it belonged to the diocese of Munster and has a Roman Catholic influence. There is a gigantic boulder weighing more than 20,000 kilos on the market. This boulder was placed there in 1874 in honor of the 25th anniversary of the reign of King Willem III. It took 99 people to drag the stone from the Tussenderveld to the center of Lichtenvoorde. At Skik & Zo Eten & Drinken you are welcome for a delicious meal, after which you cycle along the Korenburgerveen to the former textile city of Winterswijk. Here too you pass a boulder, namely in the Freedom Park.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
