Tour of Kop Van Zuid and Kralingse Bos

Your route starts with a cup of coffee at Café Postiljon. From here you cycle via the beautifully winding Rotte to the Bergsche Voorplas. The Kralingse Bos was planted in 1928. The oaks were cut down en masse during the famine winter to fuel stoves. It was not until 1953 that the restored forest, a wonderful green oasis, was officially opened. A ferry takes you across the Maas, where you continue your journey of discovery. At the Kop van Zuid you can see, among other things, the industrial heritage of the Cruise Terminal, from 1873 to mid-1970 thousands of passengers left for America from here. The Rotterdam from 2013 by architect Rem Koolhaas is also an eye-catcher. This sustainable building consists of three towers placed close together, almost 150 metres high.
