Beautiful stream valleys, forest fens and inland dunes: the wet forests of the Leudal are a picture! You will discover nice church villages and beautiful Maasplassen all around.
Castle Aldenghoor
Castle Aldenghoor is the first sight on your route. The most striking feature of this imposing building is the heavy round tower with a spire dating from around 1700. You then cycle into the Het Leudal nature reserve, one of the most beautiful in Limburg. Here you pass De Leumolen. He is first mentioned in 1558, but may be much older. The Friedessemolen (built in 1617) is also a beautiful watermill.
Beegderheide
Further on you can get off at Café Maneslust Biej Mieke. The St. Petrus in Roggel was built in 1901, the St. Antonius in Heythuysen dates from 1861. You drive along the lakes at Heel and through the woods of the Beegderheide to Horn. At Eetcafé Aan de Kirk you can enjoy a delicious meal here.
