Cycling route: 164682
Provided by: Tour de L1mbourg
Beautiful stream valleys, forest fens and inland dunes: the wet forests of the Leudal are a picture! All around you will discover nice church villages and beautiful Maasplassen.
Aldenghoor Castle
Aldenghoor Castle is the first attraction on your route. The most striking thing about this imposing building is the heavy round tower with spire from around 1700. Then you cycle into the Het Leudal nature reserve, one of the most beautiful in Limburg. Here you pass De Leumolen. It is first mentioned in 1558, but may be much older. The Friedessemolen (built in 1617) is also a beautiful watermill.
Beegderheide
Further on you can get off at Café Maneslust Biej Mieke. St. Peter in Roggel was built in 1901, St. Antonius in Heythuysen dates from 1861. You drive along the lakes near Heel and through the forests of the Beegderheide to Horn. You can enjoy a delicious meal at Eetcafé Aan de Kirk.
