Tour of Singraven, Weerselo Monastery and Ootmarsum

Your route starts at Papillon Country Resort. The St. Nicholas Church in nearby Denekamp was built in the thirteenth century from Bentheimer sandstone. The bike ride then takes you to the Singraven estate. Here you will find a historic water mill, a coach house from 1868 and a number of tenant farms. The current country house dates from the period 1651-1653. The Singraven water mill consists of three water wheels with several mills: an oil mill that now houses a restaurant, a corn mill and a sawmill. Also stop at Het Stift van Weerselo. From the fourteenth century onwards, unmarried noble ladies were provided with a good education in this monastery. The picturesque centre of Ootmarsum has a protected village view, you will see many beautiful monumental buildings.
