Description
The Oldenzaal moraine
The starting point of this route is between Oldenzaal and De Lutte. At the start of the route you will be introduced to the Tankenberg, the highest point in the province of Overijssel at 85 meters above sea level. This mountain is part of the Oldenzaal moraine. The first part of the route goes downhill from here towards Losser. Then you cycle further to Lonneker along the edge of Enschede. There you can take a look at the Lonnekermolen, a windmill dating from 1851.
Hotel't Kruisselt
You cycle back through Oldenzaal to the point where you started your tour. Keep in mind that on the last part of the route you cycle back up the mountain that you came down at the beginning of the route. So it's a bit of a climb here to eventually arrive at Hotel't Kruisselt in Lutte. Here you can spend the night in comfort to recover from your tour.
