The Reestdal is a beautiful and mysterious piece of nature. The Reest river meanders through an area in which flower-rich meadows, authentic arable farming, old hedgerows, heathland and forest alternate. The nature reserves around the Reest, which are managed by the Drents Landschap and Landschap Overijssel, are unique. Many special plants and animals can be found in the middle of the meadows, fields, heaths and forests.
You cycle past beautiful estates and characteristic farms to the Staphorsterbos. This is a large contiguous forest area with heathland and fens, where many animals live together in harmony. Foxes, deer, badgers and birds of prey. You can encounter them all in the woods and on the heath.
The tour starts and ends at Camping Si-Es-An, where you will receive a warm welcome and where you can immerse yourself in casual conviviality.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
