Informatiecentrum De Wheem

Visitor center De Wheem is located in the middle of nature in the Reestdal. In this monumental farm you will find all possible information about the nature reserve. You will also find beautiful exhibitions and a nice shop. Children can have fun in the badger castle or on the exciting play nature trail that starts behind the visitor center. The nature trail is designed for children between the ages of 4 and 12. Children follow the path of Bas de Das and so they come across various houses and hiding places for the animals in the Reestdal. The hedgehog's rill, an insect wall, the dragonfly and frog pool, the woodpecker's house, you can discover it all on this path. Also experience what it is like to be in a life-size Great Tit hive. At the end of the path, children can play, climb and build huts to their heart's content. It's all possible here. The Reestdal is an ancient and small-scale cultural landscape with woods, heaths, meadows and old farms. The visitor center is therefore the ideal starting point for many cycling and walking tours through this beautiful area.
