Your route starts at the Ice Cream and Lunch Salon Zo En Nu. This diverse loop between Zutphen and Deventer takes you past some of the many stately manors and country estates that this area boasts. Huis de Voorst was built around 1700. Its eye-catching features now include the lead-domed roof and impressive colonnades. You can stroll around the estate and admire the countless plant and animal species. You'll also pass a few beautiful old windmills: the Geertruida Cornelia Windmill is a round stone ground-sail mill dating from 1893. The oldest mention of the former Dorth Castle dates back to 1311. The house that stands there now dates from 1928. The estate is freely accessible; feel free to stop for a stroll. The Warkense Mill, built in 1878, is also a lovely spot!
