Cycle route Horst, Wellerlooi and Broekhuizen

Between Horst and Broekhuizen you will experience a beautiful Limburg cycling day. First you cycle through the Schuitwater, a nature reserve around a former Maas arm. Via Melderslo and Hegelsom you cycle to Horst. On the edge of this village you come through the Kasteelse Bossen. Here you will find the ruins of Huys Ter Horst. This castle was built at the beginning of the fourteenth century, but was partially destroyed during the Eighty Years' War. Part of the ruins have been restored, so that you can now take a look into the past. From junction 68 you cycle along a cycle path along the Grote Moolenbeek. Via Tienray and Swolgen you continue eastwards. You cross the Maas, after which you make a shortcut through the Maasduinen National Park. The route ends at the Maashotel Broekhuizen and restaurant Bij Christoffel.
