Description
Your cycling route starts at Van Beek Tweewielers. The route leads you through the French Kampheide, a nature reserve with drifting sands, heathland and forest. Bussum is rich in beautiful buildings and churches, Naarden is even one of the best preserved fortified towns in Europe. The fortress has six bastions, a double wall and a double canal belt. The Dutch Fortress Museum is a nice stop. Fort Ronduit is a fortification from 1875 that is part of the New Dutch Waterline. You also cycle across the historic Brink of Muiderberg. Visit the medieval Muiderslot! You will also see many beautiful monumental buildings in Muiden, such as the Muizenfort. In Weesp you can admire the Tower Fort on the Ossenmarkt. Cycling along the winding Vecht is beautiful, you will see farms and Fort Uitermeer.
