Achterhoek Wine Route

Good wine used to come by definition from France or Germany. Nowadays, tasty wines are also made in the Achterhoek. With around 17 vineyards, the Achterhoek is the largest wine region in the Netherlands. Many tens of thousands of liters of red, white and rose wines are now produced. And they have been recognized with numerous awards! Many vineyards are open to the public. Book a tour and take a bottle with you right away! The wines often have beautiful Achterhoek names, such as Weerkomm\\\'n and Goodgaon. Your route starts at Oldschool Hotel and leads past four vineyards: Wijngaard Hesselink (Winterswijk Henxel), Wijngaard De Reeborghesch (Winterswijk Kotten), Wijngoed De Hennepe (Aalten) and Wijndomein Besselinkschans (Lievelde).
