Romans in The Green Forest

This is the Hercules Magasanus theme cycle route, a cycle route inspired by the Romans in Het Groene Woud. The Romans had a very visible presence in Het Groene Woud 1900 years ago. In the 1900 years since then, our ancestors have given the country a completely different appearance, so when cycling we have to use our imagination to get an idea of what it looked like at the time. This cycling route will help you discover the Romans. Along the route, two museums and five information panels will help you get an idea of this distant past. You can also visit the Noordbrabants Museum in 's-Hertogenbosch and the Historical Open Air Museum in Eindhoven.
