Discover the Lutterzand and the Singraven estate

Your route starts at Eetcafe Plexat/Steaks & Bites in De Lutte. Close to the border with Germany, the Twente landscape is beautiful. Sand drifts, heathlands and forests with birch and oak trees that are intersected by the Dinkel. This ancient river with its high banks winds its way through the Lutterzand and moves half a meter every year, pushing through the sand. Denekamp is one of the largest villages in the region. The St. Nicholas Church was built in the thirteenth century from Bentheimer sandstone. On the Singraven estate you can admire an old water mill and a beautiful manor house. The house was replaced by a new building in the period 1651-1653. The estate also has a coach house from 1868 and a number of tenant farms.
