Discover the Lutterzand and Singraven estate

Your route starts at Eetcafe Plexat/Steaks & Bites in De Lutte. Close to the border with Germany, the Twente landscape is beautiful. Sand drifts, heathlands and forests with birches and oaks that are intersected by the Dinkel. This ancient river with its high banks winds its way through the Lutterzand and moves half a meter every year, pushing through the sand. Denekamp is one of the largest villages in the region. The Saint Nicholas Church was built in the thirteenth century from Bentheim sandstone. An old watermill and a beautiful manor can be admired on the Singraven estate. The house was replaced by a new building in the period 1651-1653. The estate also contains a coach house from 1868 and a number of tenant farms.
