The hilly landscape full of peaks and valleys in Limburg is a great route for cycling enthusiasts. This route takes you over different hills from one cozy town to another. Get on your bike and experience the Limburg outdoor life.
Limburg church villages
The starting point of this cycling tour is in Doenrade. This village originated along the old Roman trade road that long ago ran from Germany to Maastricht. You take a short trip across the border to the German village of Hillensberg, which lies at the foot of the Schlouner Berg. Then you quickly cycle back into the Netherlands. You cycle back to Doenrade via various villages such as Puth, Spaubeek, Schinnen and Oirsbeek. On the edge of Oirsbeek you cycle past the Janssen mill from 1877.

Part of the plateau is bordered by the Geleenbeek and the Caumerbeek.
