Tour of Gouda, Schoonhoven and Lopik

Large water features, forests and meadows characterize the Reeuwijkse Plassen. The Broekvelden Vettenbroek lake was created by the extraction of sand and peat: in some places the lake is up to 30 meters deep. Most peat ponds are only three to four meters deep. The route leads you to the cheese town of Gouda with its monuments, before you continue your way through the countryside.
