Bonrepasmolen

Visit the website
The Bonrepasmolen is a hollow post mill that was built around 1600 in Vlist on the river Vlist. The mill was placed here to drain the Bonrepas and Noord-Zevender polder. Originally the mill was on the other side of the Vlist. Just after the Second World War, the mill was fitted with a diesel engine with pump as auxiliary drainage. The mill is sometimes called the prinsenmolen, after miller Arie Prins who was born in the Bonrepas mill. Numerous restorations (around 1960, 1973 and 2004) have resulted in a beautiful mill. The mill is still inhabited and can be viewed from the road, not visited.
