Cycling along sights
During this cycling route you will pass various sights. One of them is Drakensteyn Castle in Baarn. The history of this castle dates back to 1360, when it was first written about this castle. A little later you will pass Museum Oud Soest. The museum houses a number of permanent exhibitions, such as a period room, a cartwright, a council chamber and about church life in Soest and Soesterberg.
You also cycle past Soestdijk Palace. Soestdijk Palace was originally a hunting lodge, built in the seventeenth century. The young stadtholder, William III, bought the homestead in 1674. The Crown Prince and his Russian wife had Soestdijk completely renovated into a real summer palace. From Soestdijk Palace you cycle back to Bilthoven via Den Dolder, wonderfully through the green nature.
