Cycling through the beautiful hinterland of Hardenberg

You start this cycle route at Bistro Festa in Sibculo. You have a beautiful view over the water, where you can relax while enjoying a snack and a drink. The ideal place to start and end your cycling tour! During this route you will explore the surroundings of the Engbertsdijksvenen, a real cycling gem where you can relax. Just past Bruchterveld you pass the Nieuwe Veen, a small-scale untouched marsh that was created by peat. On the way you pass the Oelemölle, a beautiful old flour mill. You pass through Hardenberg, an old and cozy town on the Overijsselse Vecht. South of this town you drive through the former Twente peat area. Here you can enjoy the silence in a region that has no mass tourism.
