Description
During this route you will explore the area around the Engbertsdijksvenen, a real cycling gem where you can relax. Just past Bruchterveld you will pass the Nieuwe Veen, a small-scale untouched swamp that was created by peat extraction. On the way you will pass the Oelemolle, a beautiful old corn mill. You will pass Hardenberg, an old and cozy town on the Overijsselse Vecht. South of this town you will cycle through the former Twente peat area. Here you can enjoy the silence in a region that knows no mass tourism.
