Tour of Dalfsen and Ommen from Salland

Your route starts at Jorink Bakery - Lunchroom - Ice Cream Parlor in Raalte. The valley through which the winding Vecht winds its way is a beautiful landscape in which picturesque villages, extensive estates, dense forests and vast heathlands stretch out. Ommen is located in beautiful nature, an old Hanseatic city with a rich history. You also cycle over the Archemerberg, part of a moraine that was created during the last ice age. To the west of the mountain there are drifting sand areas, which are mainly the result of human activities. Het Laer used to be a castle; the surrounding canals and the wooded area in which the castle came into its own are still visible. After a number of sieges, renovations and takeovers, Het Laer Estate has grown into a beautifully restored manor.
