Description
Go out and explore the South Holland island of Voorne. You start at TOP Brielle, where you can easily park your car and continue by bike. Along the way you will pass De Hoofdwacht on the Market in Brielle. The former main guard was designed in Louis XVI style, a beautiful location to take a break and have a bite to eat and a drink. Then you explore the fortified city of Brielle. The fact that it is a fortified city can be seen from the walls, ramparts, bastions and other defenses that surround the city. These were intended to protect the civilian population against external attacks. You will also pass Rockanje, which is located on the west side of Voorne. It is surrounded by thickly vegetated dunes. A wonderful route for cycling!
