Kempen Route: Enjoy the Kempen~Broek to the fullest

Around Bocholt you can enjoy cycling through the many extensive nature reserves of GrensPark Kempen~Broek. In the village itself you can enjoy the Limburg geniality and historical sights, such as the St. Laurentius Church with its history of the tower relocation. The route starts at the Tourism Office. You then cycle along the leafy canal to Berghei, a forest where you can smell the fresh scent of conifers. The adjacent Kolisbos and the further away Goolderbos are two former heathlands that are mainly planted with Scots pine. How wonderfully quiet it is here! From Bocholt to Stramproy you cycle through a mosaic of arable fields and grasslands. Just before junction 45 you can enjoy the view over the Tungelerbeek valley. Further on you cycle through the Tungelerwallen nature reserve, followed by the forests of Altweerterheide and the IJzeren man. Kempen~Broek is so beautiful! Enjoy this area with a drink in the Luysmolen.
