Tour of Terheijden, Princenhage and Breda

Your cycle route will soon take you to Terheijden, on the Mark river. Here you will find the Kleine Schans: a Spanish army camp from 1590. You continue to the Vrachelse Heide, a former heath and drifting sand area that is now mainly planted with Scots pine. In beautiful Breda you will discover Breda Castle from 1353. The House of Brecht is another historical picture: it dates from the fourteenth century. A little later you cycle into Princenhage, a former village with beautiful monuments in the Dreef and on the pleasant Haagsemarkt. The former town hall dates from 1792. The last part you cycle close to the Liesbos, the largest old summer oak forest in the Netherlands.
