Description
The starting point of this route is Herberg Welgelegen, a house with character, located in a beautiful building on the Oude Rijn in Valkenburg. With 8 luxurious hotel rooms and a restaurant on the water, it is the place to relax outdoors. Herberg Welgelegen, the former town hall of Valkenburg, has a rich history. The building was built in 1895 as a home for the director of one of the tile factories that could be found along the Oude Rijn. Dunes, forest and beach are within cycling distance from the inn. What a wonderful area to explore on foot! During this route you will discover the surroundings of Valkenburg and Rijnsburg. In the spring you can enjoy the beautiful bulb fields in the area.
