Refreshing combination of IJssel and Veluwezoom

The route starts in Bronkhorst at Herberg De Gouden Leeuw, the town that likes to present itself as the smallest town in the Netherlands. Thanks to the many monumental buildings, you seem to have taken a leap back in time here. You can enjoy a drink at the inn before starting the tour. You can then blow away many beautiful kilometres along the floodplains of the IJssel. It is a good idea to get off in the historic centre of Doesburg, so that you can optimally enjoy the historic atmosphere. You cross the IJssel, after which you can make a stop at Restaurant de Peerdestal. Then you drive onto the Veluwezoom. First, the old deciduous forests of Landgoed Middachten await you, further on you drive through the Veluwezoom National Park. How wonderfully quiet it is here!
