Description

Bergen op Zoom originated on a sand ridge in a peat area that was reclaimed in the thirteenth century. The Wouwse Plantage is a forest southeast of Bergen op Zoom. This beautiful forest area covers approximately 74 hectares of land and has been owned by the State Forestry Service since 1996. The Wouwse Plantage estate is located near the forest. During your bike ride you will also pass the Lievensberg estate, which covers 127 hectares. This beautiful wooded area consists mainly of deciduous and coniferous forests and a 25 hectare heathland. When you have cycled more than 47 kilometers, the Sancto Antonio mill looms in Halsteren. When you return to the parking lot of Het Strandhuys, where you parked your car for free, you can end your day in the cozy, modern establishment. The location, on the boulevard on the Bergse Plaat with a wide view of the water, is fantastic.
