Description
The Schweibergerbos is an extensive forest area near the municipality of Gulpen in Limburg. It is partly a slope forest, which is surrounded by other forests to form a large ecological transition zone. The route starts at Hotel Vijlerhof. The Wingbergermolen, a water mill in Epen dates from 1844. You find your way through the hilly landscape and then come to Groenendael castle. This beautiful castle was mainly used for agricultural purposes. Only foundations of the original building from 1775 remain. The Groenendaalsmolen is a beautiful water mill that is also called Groenendalsmolen. On the river Gulp, on the edge of the town of Gulpen is the Neubourger Molen. The Onderste Molen is also a beautiful water mill, this one was built in 1215. Get off in Gulpen at De Pannekoekenmolen!
