Description
During this tour you cycle through vast peat meadow areas, such as Oostzanerveld, Ilperveld and Wormer- en Jisperveld. Ditches, moist grasslands and characteristic ribbon villages are the ingredients. The De Wijde Wormer polder is also located in the middle of this water-rich area, where clean lines and beautiful views predominate. And don't forget to enjoy the natural beauty in Het Twiske. The peace seeker comes into his or her own here. As well as the bird watcher. Meadow birds, geese and cormorants feel at home here. That is, if there are no foxes or birds of prey lurking. Het Twiske offers both the active holiday maker and the naturalist a true paradise. A wonderful nature reserve where you proverbially short of ears and eyes. For a good dose of cultural history, stop at De Zaanse Schans. The Zaanse Schans is a unique area with working windmills, special museums, displays of old crafts and idyllic green wooden houses.
