Tour of the fish ladder routes in the Vecht

Your route starts at Camping De Kleine Wolf & brasserie De Wolventuin. In this fish ladder route, forests, meadows, hills, sand drifts, heathland, water and rolling grain fields alternate with beautiful scenic landscapes. To give fish the opportunity to swim up and down the river again, diversions were constructed around the weir. Now they can cover the height difference step by step, so that they can swim upstream again to their spawning grounds. Landscape Earlier Achterbroek is managed by Natuurmonumenten. The beautiful estate park around Eerde Castle, the camp landscape of the Earlier Achterbroek and the cut-off river arm of the Regge at the Steile Oever are all reminders of the past. The ash village of Beerze, with its authentic Saxon farms with wickerwork, is a protected village sight. Nice places to take a break!
