Tour of Willemstad and Steenbergse Vliet

From your starting point near the Volkerak you first cycle to Fort Sabina. Here you will find a lunchroom and a terrace, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee. The fort is part of the Zuider Waterlinie. Immediately view the Tour Modèle from the time of Napoleon, the underground passages and the large barracks. Just in front of the fort are the Anthoniegorzen, a popular stopping place for birds that you can see clearly from the bird hide. Willemstad is a former fortified city, thanks to the many monumental buildings you get a nice glimpse into the past. The Mauritshuis dates back to 1623. Then you follow the Steenbergse Vliet back to your starting point. At junction 80 you can cycle to 45, in front of the monumental lock of De Heen.
