Picnic route around Vlist

When you have parked your car at the free parking lot in Ammerstol, you cycle to the North. There is an old windmill between Schoonhoven and Vlist. This seesaw mill, which was built around 1600, can be seen from afar. The mill dominates its surroundings and has a thatched lower tower, which looks beautiful. The old Dutch blade shape has never been improved, despite the age of the mill. The Bonrepas was used to drain the polder of the same name and the Noord-Zevenderpolder. Nowadays this is done on a voluntary basis. Don't forget to pack your bicycle bag with picnic gear, because it is very nice to spread out your blanket at junctions 31 and 33.
