Tour of the Amstelmeer and Den Oever

Get to know the former island of Wieringen. The landscape here is very different from the surrounding polder: it is undulating here with undammed ground moraine, meltwater valleys, but also dry valleys. You start the cycle route at the car park at Jachthaven De Haufkes. From here you leave in a northerly direction. You pass the mill De Onderneming as you cycle towards Den Oever. You can take a break at Restaurant Basalt, which is located at the harbour of Den Oever. Enjoy a nice cup of coffee or a meal here with a view over the fishing harbour. From here you cycle further over the Wieringse moraine and the surrounding water-rich polder landscape. Via the Robbenoordbos you cycle south again, to then make a round around the Amstelmeer.
