Description

One of the smallest hamlets you can cycle through is Kruiningergors: it has less than two hundred inhabitants. Located on the Brielse Maas in South Holland, many people visit the place in the summer months; there are many holiday homes and a marina. The bunting originated around 1926 as a kind of wild campsite, where bathers from Rotterdam spent the night in homemade huts and tents when they wanted to spend a few days at the seaside. On the route you will also find standard mill't Vliegend Hert from 1985, on the fortification wall of Brielle. It is a replica of the first post mill built, which was given the status of a municipal monument. Along the way you can stop at Paviljoen de Duinrand for a cup of coffee or a delicious lunch.
