Cycling through nature between Vlaardingen and Delft

There is plenty of natural beauty to discover between Vlaardingen and Delft. First you cross the water of the Vlietlanden with a bicycle ferry. On the other side you drive through the Broekpolder, a nature reserve consisting of forests, open spaces and water features. The road then leads you along the polders on the edge of Vlaardingen and Schiedam-Noord. Between the pollard willows you have a beautiful view over the meadows and ditches. Around junction 52 you cycle through the protected village view of Kethel, which is now part of Schiedam. You cycle north along the Schie. You will pass the Ackerdijkse Plassen bird area, after which you will take a break at De Buitengewone Theetuin. Around junction 58 you pass through the Abtswoudse Bos. You drive back to the Vlietlanden via the picturesque Schipluiden.
