A day of cycling in Salland guarantees enjoyment. This route takes you along the Regge and over the Sallandse Heuvelrug.
Sallandse Heuvelrug
Start your day with a coffee and something delicious at Eetcafé De Droadnagel. This way you get on the saddle with enough energy. You are the first to enter National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug. You cycle through rolling forests and along the heath. Take a deep breath and sniff the fresh air. The national park is one of the few places in the Netherlands where you can still see ancient juniper bushes.
Hellendoorn
After a while you drive through charming Hellendoorn. Here you will see De Wippen: a flour mill from 1821. Then you drive through the Salland countryside. Around the river Regge you cycle through a landscape of flowery meadows, fields and small-scale forest. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for a relaxing day. You pass through the village of Lemele, after which you drive back to Eetcafé De Droadnagel via the Hellendoornse Bos.
