Description
The starting point of this route is at Van der Valk Hotel Groningen - Hoogkerk. Spend the night here and start the day with a delicious breakfast before getting on your bike. From here you can quickly cycle to the Harkema church. Be sure to stop here to admire the church and its canal, the ornamental garden and the tea house. You will then continue to encounter special places on this route. Further on you see, for example, Wierde Fransum with only a Romanesque church, one farm and one house. In the hamlet of Allersma you will find the Allersmaborg, near the Reitdiep. The oldest part of this castle is the stone house that dates from the fifteenth century.
