Description
Between De Bilt and Soest you will find an area full of natural beauty and cultural history. First you drive through De Bilt and Bilthoven. Then you cycle through Boswachterij de Vuursche. This wonderfully quiet forest area is a patchwork of former estates. You will pass the country estates of Roverestein, Rustenhoven and Eyckenstein, among others. Then you cycle through the picturesque Lage Vuursche. Here you will find Drakensteyn Castle, where Beatrix lived from 1963 to 1981; Nowadays she lives there again. On the edge of Soest you will pass Soestdijk Palace. The seventeenth-century building was sold to a company in 2017. The last kilometers you drive through a mix of deciduous and coniferous forests.
