Cycling in the wooded area of Ede

Mill Lana Mariana
From Ede you can cycle straight into the nature of De Hoge Veluwe. You cycle around the Harskampse Zand, among other things. On the edge of this shifting sand area you will find the Lana Mariana mill, which was built in 1739. This flour mill was severely damaged during the Second World War and until 1984 the mill remained a ruin without a hood and without sails. In 2002, the exterior appearance of the mill was restored during a restoration, but nothing remains of the interior. At the end of the route you will also pass the De Hindekamp lookout post. From this post you can take a good look at the area and look for game.

Hunting lodge St. Hubertus
St. Hubertus Hunting Lodge is also located on the Harskampse Zand. This beautiful hunting lodge was designed in 1914 for the Kröller-Müller couple. The well-known architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage designed not only the hunting lodge, but also the interior, the surrounding gardens, the service buildings and the accompanying bridge. The construction of the complex ultimately lasted from 1915 to 1920. Nowadays, guests of the State occasionally stay in the hunting lodge. Part of the house is accessible to the public.
