Dordrecht is a kind of island surrounded by water on all sides. No fewer than three rivers wind around the city: the Beneden-Merwede, the Noord and the Oude Maas. These rivers meet just outside the city limits. At the start of this bike tour you immediately cycle along the water south of the city center of Dordrecht. On the other side of the water is the green and water-rich De Biesbosch National Park. You then cycle further along the edge of Sliedrecht, Papendrecht and Zwijndrecht.
