In West Brabant it is wonderful to cycle through the varied nature and through charming villages. First you drive to De Moeren Estate. The beautiful country house dates from 1818, and the associated farms are also a feast for the eyes. Van Gogh painted his first landscapes in the surrounding nature reserve. A little further away is the Maria Toevlucht Abbey. A Trappist abbey founded in 1899 by some monks from Koningshoeven Abbey near Tilburg. A short distance away you will pass through a number of villages, such as Sint Willebrord. Here you will see the striking St. Willibrordus Church from 1926 and the associated monumental Lourdes Grotto. You can get off at De Menmoerhoeve for a pit stop, after which you explore De Pannenhoef. In this nature reserve you cycle past swamp forests, moist meadows and fields. And plenty of silence!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
