Description
In the vicinity of Staphorst you will find the Staatsbos Staphorst, this is a typical reclamation forest on former heathland. You can also cycle to the village of de Wijk. The tour is characterized by the meadow landscape of the Reestdal. Southwest of the village you can see the wooded Landgoed Dickninge from the nineteenth century, which has limited access. Nice to visit is the windmill De Wieker Meule. This octagonal tower mill from 1829 is almost entirely covered with thatch and has a radius of 22.50 metres. Castle De Havixhorst is a nice place to take a look.
