Your walking route today starts at De Kribbe Catering, Cake Bakery & Museum. You are here in the middle of the Wilpse Klei, an overflow area of the IJssel where the farms are often located on mounds. Nearby is the ferry that takes you across the IJssel to the cozy Gorssel. Here you can visit Museum MORE: the largest museum for Dutch Modern Realism. The Noorsche Huis in Gorssel is one of the few remaining prefabricated houses in the Norwegian dragon style in the Netherlands. Characteristic of this style are the decorations on the roof and on the facade in the form of dragon heads and tails. This style was originally used in the construction of Viking ships. Huize't Joppe was built around 1740 in Louis XIV style. The estate is freely accessible.
