Meuse - Rhine Route (3 days; Maas route Eurovelo 19, Fossa Eugeniana, Rhine route Eurovelo 15, Noordervaart route)

Connecting the Maas and the Rhine has never been possible with a canal, but it has been possible with this cycle route. 

From Venlo you follow a part of the LF Maas route (Eurovelo 19). From Arcen you turn off and follow the route of the Fossa Eugeniana as it was planned in 1626 to Rhensberg (65km) where you arrive at the Rhine. The next day you follow the Rhine route (Eurovelo 15) via Duisburg to Düsseldorf (65km). On the last day you follow the Eurovelo 4 route from Napoleon\\\'s Noordervaart or Grand Canal du Nord from Neuss back to Venlo (70km).
