How Dutch do you want it? During this route you cycle past a lot of mills in a wide, green landscape. You start at Huis Het Bosch, where you can park your car and then get on your bike to explore the area. Soon after departure you will see two old polder mills in succession: the Hoekmolen and Molen de Bonk. You will pass through small towns such as Noordeloos, Lexmond and Meerkerk. You will also discover Gorinchem, a well-preserved fortified town with a pleasant centre. Put your bike aside for a moment! Gorinchem owes its wealth to its strategic location at a junction of rivers, the Linge flows into the Waal here. Here you will also encounter mills: the Westmolen was built in 1814, the Oostmolen two years later.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
