This route takes you through the forests surrounding Soest and Bilthoven. First, you'll cycle through the protected townscape of Baarn. This park-like setting is home to many monumental villas. Further on, you'll cycle past the former Soestdijk Palace. Originally a 17th-century hunting lodge, it was sold to a company in 2017. On the outskirts of Soest, you'll pass, among other things, the Old Church, dating back to 1350. Around the church, you'll see many centuries-old monuments. Further on, you'll enter the Soestduinen dunes. From here, you'll cycle for many kilometers through a mix of coniferous and deciduous forests—wonderful! Amidst all this natural beauty, you'll pass through Lage Vuursche, a protected townscape. The Stulpkerk originally dates from 1659, while the current Drakensteyn Castle dates from 1640.
