Description
The starting point of this route is Restaurant Het Dinghuis in Deurne, a cozy restaurant with a homely atmosphere. The restaurant is a perfect place to rest and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink after you have completed this walk. Opposite the restaurant is the Klein kasteel, a castle dating from the 14th century. In the Middle Ages, the castle was called Oud Huis. Now there is only a residential tower. You leave Deurne and walk towards the Walbergse forests. This forest was created when a heathland was planted with conifers. Birdwatchers take note: there are goldcrests in the forest! In the last part of the walk you walk past Holten\\\'s Molen, which is now again operating on a voluntary basis.
