Brederode route

There are many cultural-historical and scenic sights to admire in the Municipality of Velsen. This route takes you across estates and past the Ruins of Brederode. From the train station (\\\'buitenpoort\\\') Santpoort-Noord, first walk towards Park Kennemergaarde. Here you will see, among other things, the monumental country house from 1912. Further on you will walk past the monumental country house Duin & Kruidberg from 1909. A little later you will walk past Brederode Castle, which dates from the thirteenth century. In Santpoort-Zuid you will pass several beautiful monumental buildings on the Wüstelaan, and you will also walk past the Spaarnberg Estate. On the edge of Santpoort-Noord is the Zandhaas, a flour mill from 1779. Just past junction 14 you pass the Village Church from 1917, which is located in the historic and green center of Santpoort-Noord.
