Walking through estates near Bilthoven

Between Bilthoven and Bosch & Duin you walk through some beautiful, contiguous country estates. First you walk your legs on the leafy and car-free Dennenweg. You pass a number of beautiful houses here. Then you walk a bit through the Panbos, a relatively young forest where mainly Scots pines grow. In the adjacent Landgoed Beerschoten you walk through an English landscape park with a flowing stream, meadows and old avenues. If you don't see anyone for a while, you can secretly daydream here that you're taking a walk over your own country estate. Heyntjeskamp dates from 1645, it consists largely of deciduous forest on former shifting sand. Further on you pass the Knollentuin, a walled vegetable garden that used to belong to the Tannenberg country estate. At HFSLG (Hoefslag) you can enjoy a delicious meal.
