Pink, purple, yellow, red and blue bulbs: you can see them with this beautiful bulb walk at't Zand, in North Holland. Also outside the spring a beautiful area!
Flour mill
Your walking route for today starts at Korenmolen Zeeman't Zand. It was built in Leiden in 1631 as a fulling mill for the textile industry, but ended its career in Leiden as a sawmill. In 1865 the mill was moved to't Zand, where it was given another function: as a flour mill. Drink a cup of coffee (with cake!) and then put on your walking shoes for a nice tour around't Zand.
Bulb fields
Just outside the village you will find endless bulb fields. Every spring they transform the landscape into one large Mondrian painting - although you also see other colors here than just the primary ones. Just before you return to your starting point, you walk into the seventeenth-century village't Zand, over a floating raft bridge. Typically North Holland! You first walk along the Channel, a wide waterway, and then cross through the village back to square one.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
